Carefully crafted with selected ingredients, whether it’s the classic meat zongzi or the fragrant vegetarian zongzi, you can feel the warmth of humanity while indulging in these treats. May this profound affection of Zongzi brings everyone wonderful holiday wishes!

With the festival spirit in the air and the aroma of zongzi filling the air, all proceeds from this sale will be donated to the Daren Life Association to support free community assistance projects. We deeply appreciate the generous support of all our friends!

On 11 May 2024, under the clear and sunny autumn sky, volunteers who participated in the 4.27 “Daren Culture” event gathered together. The venue was filled with guests from all walks of life, speaking different dialects, possessing diverse personalities and skills, yet sharing the same profound recognition and support for the principle of “Human Supremacy”. With everyone’s concerted efforts, the 4.27 event concluded with great success.

The host expressed gratitude for everyone’s hard work in the opening remarks, followed by the collective appreciation of the splendid moments taken in the day of the Daren Cultural event. In the footage, lively figures were busy at their posts, yet their faces were all adorned with confident and cheerful smiles. Pursuing the true essence of humanity and life itself is a joyful endeavor. During the event, each of them showcased the warm and noble human values in their respective fields.

Subsequently, the volunteers went on stage to receive commemorative certificates. Although seemingly delicate and light, these certificates symbolize their contributions to co-creating a better life towards “Human Supremacy”. The group photo of them standing on stage together will become a beautiful and honorable memento.

During the meeting, the volunteers sang songs such as “Human Supremacy” and “Asking About Loved Ones” with heartfelt sincerity. Their sincere and pure hearts resonate in their songs, reflecting their pursuit of noble humanity and their pure dedication as volunteers.

The veteran artists who participated in the 4.27 event enthusiastically took to the stage to perform many wonderful programs. The melodious and graceful violin music conveyed the trend of the era of human nature, inspiring and uplifting; the ensemble of folk songs resonated in people’s hearts, dispelling the cold material gaps.

The carefully prepared snack and tea refreshments by the volunteers also impressed everyone: homemade pastries with a lingering sweetness, complemented by health-preserving tea, tantalizing the taste buds. As everyone experienced the art of tea and savored the pastries, a sense of peaceful joy overflowed.

The symposium drew to a close amidst the beautiful and melodious performances by the band. As one volunteer said, “Encountering Daren Life Association is truly a wonderful fate.”

The ability for everyone to come together and forge the path to a better life may seem simple, but it carries profound significance, representing the momentum of a new era of noble humanity. At the same time, the encounter in this beautiful country of New Zealand and the resonance shared by all make everyone feel deeply connected, deserving of celebration.

On 27 April, 2024, at 10:00 AM, rhythmic music filled the Barfoot & Thompson Stadium in Auckland. People enthusiastically danced, joyfully joining the dance parade around the venue. The host welcomed everyone to the Daren Cultural Event in Maori, English, and Chinese, officially kicking off the event.

Organized by the Daren Life Association, the Daren Cultural Event made its debut to the public last April, achieving significant success. This year, both the venue and the exhibition booths and activities have doubled in scale compared to the previous year, attracting a continuous stream of participants.

• Cultural Exchange:

The sound of the Guqin echoed, and the fragrance of ink wafted through the air. Whether traditional or distinctive, various cultures vied to showcase their splendor.

• Artistic Performances:

Throughout the event, various artistic performance teams covered a spectrum of age groups, showcasing the characteristics and talents of each age bracket. From songs, dances to Chinese dramas, the performances were magnificent and captivating.

• Cultural Experience:

Daren Gu Bai (Humanity Reverence Ceremony): Experiencing the harmony of heaven, earth, and humanity, expressing longing for homelands. A grand Gu Bai ceremony involving hundreds of participants, which resonated the entire venue.

• Mutual Help in Life:

At the traditional Chinese medicine consultation booth, experts and medical service teams provided on-site pulse diagnosis, assessed participants’ health conditions, explained symptoms, and offered relevant self-care knowledge. They patiently answered questions and helped enhance participants’ awareness of self-care.

The Daren Mutual Help Platform provides free household appliance repairs and clothing mending services, allowing friends with specialized skills to showcase their talents and help others solve life’s challenges. Through this platform, individuals can shine and contribute their unique abilities, benefiting more friends in need. Additionally, there is a booth dedicated to recycling and reusing items, ensuring that every object finds a new owner and continues to demonstrate its value.

• Entertainment Activities:

A variety of entertainment projects offer boundless fun. The “Spider-Man” balloon twisting artist showcases extraordinary skills, while the face painting master brings artworks to life. In the children’s area, kids enjoy making crafts, ring tossing, and fishing, fully immersed in joy. The inflatable castle provides endless amusement for children. For adults, there are stimulating and therapeutic entertainment projects such as VR immersive experiences and navigating through a minefield.

• Diverse Culinary Delights:

The food street at the event offers a wide variety of delicacies, showcasing a rich assortment of specialty snacks from various regions, providing everyone with a taste of different flavors and culinary experiences.

• Product and Services:

Fresh flowers and honey, scented candles, toys and clothing, stationery and handicrafts, nail and eyelash beauty services, insurance and healthcare, and more… The rich array of products and services leave attendees spoiled for choice, providing a wide range of options to meet their needs.

Every year at the Daren Culture Event, Daren volunteers provide free assistance with appliance repairs, sewing and mending, traditional Chinese medicine consultations, and life counseling on-site.

Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses; there are times when we need help and times when we want to help others. Through mutual assistance, we can provide each other with more convenience, solve more problems, and increase warmth and kindness.

As the saying goes, “Give a rose and your hands will be fragrant.” The charm of mutual assistance speaks for itself.

A wide array of specialty dishes and creative snacks will be available – a must-visit for foodies!

This event will feature a diverse range of flavorful cuisines: from barbecue and skewers to Cantonese dim sum, Thai delicacies, bubble tea and fruit juices, noodle dishes and desserts, fries and fried chicken, along with intangible cultural heritage items like dragon’s beard candy and sugar paintings. I. Event Introduction

Daren Life Association is a registered charity organization in New Zealand. Over the years, we have organized various activities such as Daren Life Mutual Help, social mutual assistance, and cultural exchanges in various communities, which have gain increasing acceptance and affection by the public. “Daren Culture” advocates and practices a culture of “putting humans first”. We hope that people can all be honored, supported, and assisted throughout their lives, making life happier, more brilliant, and fulfilling. Responding to the needs of various sectors and further enriching our lives, we have organized large-scale “Daren Culture” events to allow more people to experience the wonder of “Daren Culture.”

In 2023, we held the inaugural “Daren Culture” event at Mount Eden War Memorial Hall, which accommodated diverse exhibitions and was well-received by the public. This year, we will expand the scale and hold a larger “Daren Culture” event at Barfoot & Thompson Stadium (203 Kohimarama Road, Kohimarama, Auckland 1071) on 27 April, 2024 (Saturday) from 10 AM to 4 PM.

II. Guidelines to Stalls

Stall hirers: Interested businesses, organizations, and individuals are welcome to apply.

Stall Types: You can apply to showcase anything you are good at or what people need in social life.

Application Deadline: Applications are open until 30 March, 2024.

Stalls are limited. If applications exceed capacity, the organizers will select based on the circumstances of this event. If you are unable to participate after registering, you will be given priority in subsequent association activities. All services are for humanity. Exhibitors must support the event positively and must not engage in words or actions that harm or infringe upon people’s physical and mental rights.

III. Volunteer Recruitment

For the 2024 “Daren Culture” event, volunteers are now recruited to assist in on-site layout, stall assistance, and maintaining order during the event. Volunteers will receive a certificate upon completion of the event.

Requirements for Volunteers: Ages 14 and above, regardless of gender, with a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor.

On February 24, 2024, which coincided with the Lantern Festival on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month, the Daren Singing Event proceeded as scheduled. Friends from different regions gathered together, getting to know each other through songs, making friends through songs, singing out the cycle of years, and expressing their love for life.

Initially shy friends found resonance through the songs, opening the windows of their souls and gradually becoming more lively. With melodious or energetic songs, one after another, some sang classic Cantonese songs, some chose love duets, and others danced along with the melody. The songs stirred people’s souls, awakening the passion that had been submerged by busy work and life. The atmosphere at the scene was warm and cohesive, immersing people in it and experiencing the artistic mindset. Passersby who heard the songs were also drawn in.

Regardless of age or gender, regardless of vocal ability, everyone invested genuine emotions, arousing inner resonance. The audience sincerely applauded the performers.

On this day of reunion, seemingly ordinary gatherings appeared to possess unique souls. The songs conveyed experiences and stories of time, allowing everyone to transition from acquaintance to mutual understanding and appreciation. As the event drew to a close, everyone was reluctant to part ways. They sang “Tomorrow Will Be Better” together, pushing this gathering to a climax.

The singing activity, beneficial to health and character, was deeply loved by everyone. They look forward to the next gathering where they can meet more friends who share a passion for music and love for life.
