“Daren Life · Mutual Help Activity Hub” 2026 New Year Launch

Entering the new year, the Daren Life Society’s EPSOM community service activities have been upgraded. The venue was chosen at Mt Eden War Memorial Hall, 489 Dominion Road, and the January event was successfully held on Saturday the 17th.

That afternoon, a row of “Daren Life Society” banners fluttered in the wind at the entrance of the venue, opposite Porter Park on Dominion Road, welcoming people in. Volunteers at the registration desk greeted and inquired with smiles. Upon entering the venue, a lively atmosphere greeted everyone. Services were offered at every booth, and children ran around holding colorful balloons twisted by volunteers.

With the larger venue, previously scattered activities could be gathered together in one place. Yoga activities were arranged in a separate large room on the second floor, where everyone relaxed and stretched their bodies. Table tennis, unthinkable in smaller spaces, occupied only a corner of the large venue, and the tables were constantly in use for the two-hour event. Melodious singing drifted from the next room, a room specially prepared for karaoke activities. Volunteers were there to assist with song selection and sound tuning, allowing everyone to sing their hearts out and let loose without any pressure.

In the main venue, three display boards stood side by side, introducing the philosophy and background of the Daren Life Society. The full text of the book “The Human World of the People” and a bilingual introduction to the “Daren Basic Law” attracted attention. Various editions of Daren’s works, including “Da Ren” and “The Human World of the People”, were laid out on a table in front of the display boards. Tables and chairs were set up in the middle of the venue for participants to rest, with tea and soft music playing. This was the “Daren Conversations” area, where old and new friends reminisced and chatted in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

From the entrance, there were, in order, an appliance repair area, a chess and card area, and a calligraphy area. On the other side, there was a hairdressing area and a parent-child activity area. The stage was also busy, but this time there were no artistic performances. To the left was a clothing mending area, and to the right was a “maximizing resource utilization” area. Services and interactions are proceeding smoothly in each area. Here, what binds people together is not monetary or material exchange, but the warm care and mutual help stemming from human nature itself—a true embodiment of Daren’s “people-first” philosophy.

We welcome enthusiastic members of the community to participate in mutual assistance. We also welcome those with resources and talents to register as Daren volunteers. Let us use the Daren life platform to gather positive energy, serve others, and support one another.
