On the afternoon of 16th November, under the bright sunshine, the badminton hall of Epsom Girls Grammar School welcomed over a dozen young badminton players. The atmosphere was exceptionally harmonious. The young players were either earnestly practicing, cooperating seamlessly, or simply running and playing with boundless energy. The shuttlecocks traced arcs through the air, accompanied by bursts of laughter. Some parents cheered on their children from the sidelines, while others couldn’t resist joining in, playing a few rounds with their kids and sharing in the joy of the sport.
In one corner of the court, experienced volunteers patiently guided younger children, teaching them everything from gripping the racket to swinging the racket, providing fun and repeated instruction. The cheers of the children when they successfully hit the ball were the simplest and purest joy of sports.
To ensure every child could play freely, the staff acted as the “ultimate support,” gently coordinating from the sidelines. Children who had been playing for a while would voluntarily take turns resting, and their eager peers would immediately take over. The whole process was orderly, like a well-coordinated relay race, with every little face filled with anticipation and satisfaction.
“This kind of activity is great! The children can exercise and make friends, and it puts us parents at ease. ” A parent watching from the sidelines said with a smile, echoing the sentiments of many. ” I really hope that this can be held more often in the future, so that the children have a regular place to burn off energy and socialize. “
Daren Life Society will continue this joyful journey , creating a happy space for children to sweat, gain health, and build friendships. We look forward to seeing more adorable faces on the court next time ! Let’s accompany the children as they grow up healthy and happy!
