On the afternoon of Sunday, September 7th, the badminton courts at Epsom Girls Grammar School were filled with the joyful laughter of young players. White shuttlecocks traced elegant arcs through the air, accompanied by the rhythmic clap of rackets, bursts of laughter, and waves of cheers—a gathering exclusively for young badminton enthusiasts. The atmosphere was as sizzling as a midsummer day, radiating pure energy!
“Great shot!” cheers erupted as a player executed a stunning high jump smash for a point. On the adjacent court, a beginner intently listened to a volunteer coach, learning step by step—from grip technique to serve fundamentals. This was the most heartwarming scene: players of all skill levels interacting on the same court, each finding their own joy in the game.
On the courts, doubles and singles matches unfolded alongside one-on-one coaching sessions and group drills. Within minutes of playing together, young people who were strangers moments before became united in shared effort.
At the sidelines, players rehydrated while discussing thrilling rallies, exchanging tips and sharing life stories. New friendships quietly took root on the court.
As the event drew to a close, many participants lingered, reluctant to leave. Smiles lit up every face as they savored the pure joy of friendship and sport. The weekend lives of this city’s youth grew richer and more vibrant thanks to the [Daren Life · Youth Badminton] Activities.
Friends, let’s meet again for the next challenge! See you there!
