Event Highlights

[Maori War Dance] HAKA welcomes guests, a stunning opening!

The HAKA war dance is a powerful expression of strength passed down for thousands of years by New Zealand’s Aboriginal people. Dancers display courage and unity through synchronized, powerful stomping, resounding shouts, and bold facial expressions. With its thunderous rhythm and overwhelming momentum, it has not only been used to boost morale before battles but has also become a symbol of welcoming distinguished guests and conveying cultural spirit, stirring the blood and resonating with the soul.

Please arrive at the venue before 10:00 AM to experience this spectacular opening up close!

[Artistic Performances] A collection of wonderful performances await you.

The event featured a variety of ethnic dances, Maori songs, and a diverse range of performances. From innocent children singing hymns to electrifying K-POP dances, from energetic rock and electronic music to melodious and smooth guzheng music, there were also Hanfu dancers who guided you through the charm of the East.

A spectacular feast that brings together diverse cultural expressions, allowing you to experience connections and resonance that transcend time and space through music and dance!

【Daren Gubai】Experience the wonderful state of mind of “harmony between heaven, earth and humanity”

The Daren Gubai Ceremony, based on the principle of “human is paramount,” is a cultural ceremony that honors people and ancestors, and promotes harmony between Heaven and Earth. It helps people express their longing for and respect for their relatives in a solemn and sacred hall of humanity, with the most peaceful state of mind and a graceful form of reverence. The Daren Gubai Ceremony is open to all races, births, ethnic backgrounds, religious beliefs, and political stances, helping to express the respect, love, and inclusiveness inherent in all humanity. We welcome you to personally experience this solemn yet heartwarming cultural ceremony. Spots are limited, so please book early.

[Cultural Exchange] Experience diverse cultures in one place.

Calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, Hanfu (traditional Han clothing), shadow puppetry, sugar painting, and exquisite handicrafts… diverse cultures converge and coexist here, creating a vivid tapestry of humanistic life. Furthermore, the “New Culture Movement,” active throughout Auckland this year, has joined the event stall for the first time. There’s also a “Daren Conversations” area, inviting you to freely discuss the myriad aspects of life and express your true self. Discover more exciting things at the event!

[Mutual Help Service] Not only solves problems, but also conveys warmth.

In fact, some life problems don’t necessarily need money to solve; they can be solved as long as someone is willing to lend a hand. Daren Mutual Help starts with people: if you don’t know how, someone will help; if you need something, someone will respond; as long as people are there, mutual help exists.

The event will offer a range of free mutual help services, including appliance repair, clothing mending, resource utilization, traditional Chinese medicine consultations, and health checkups.

A truly good life is not about one person struggling alone, but about everyone helping each other and growing together.

[Enriching Experiences] Enjoy a wonderful day with the whole family.

The entire event will be held indoors, so rain or shine won’t stop us! Comfortable seating and thoughtful refreshments will be provided – enjoy local delicacies, traditional sugar painting, dragon whisker candy, coffee, and tea tasting, plus candy floss for kids! A free on-site VR experience will immerse you in a truly immersive experience! Enjoy crafts, interactive games, face painting, and balloon twisting – perfect for family fun!

Join us on Saturday, 18th April, for this unique journey. Bring your family and friends to share an unforgettable weekend!
